The association

The Sportgruppe at Campus Nord offers a wide variety of recreationla sports in 11 different disciplins - including Aikido, Badminton, Basketball, Fitness, Soccer, Prevention, Ski, Scuba diving, Tennis, Table Tennis and Volleyball - especially for KIT employees and students, as well as anyone interested in regular sporting activities that are not primarily competition-focused. Competitions generally take place within company groups or as public sports events. The only exception is the tennis department, which also participates in official competitions organized by the tennis association.

The sports group is affiliated to the KIT SC as a partner club. Interested parties can find further attractive sports activities there.

Internationally, the sports group is a member of the Association of the Sports Communities of the European Research Institutes, ASCERI for short. The ASCERI regularly organizes summer, winter and mini-atomiades. The upcoming ASCERI events can be found here. KIT also took part in the last summer atomiad in ISPRA. Here you can find a short report about it. The last Atomiade organized by the sports group was the Winter Atomiade 2008 in Reit im Winkel.
