Our club is a member of the Karlsruher Turngau e.V. (KTG), which in turn is a member of the Badischer Turner-Bund BTB. According to its statutes, the KTG promotes and represents the interests of its members in the field of gymnastics, competitive, recreational and health sports in accordance with the statutes of the German Gymnastics Federation (DTB). Our club, SG KIT, makes particular use of the KTG's training programs for instructors. The annual conference of the KTG took place on 29.03.25. It took place in the Geggus-Sportpark in Weingarten, the clubhouse of TSV Weingarten. With an impressive outdoor area and a building constructed in 2021, the club has a great home and was able to accommodate the more than 70 participants very well.

The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the KTG, Dirk-Michael Scholl. In addition to reports from the wide range of activities, the actions of the board members were approved and new members elected.
New training formats are of interest to us. For example, parts of the training courses for acquiring the trainer license can also be carried out online. At the Schöneck Sports School, the Trainer C Fitness and Health course can be started in a self-study phase on your own computer and then completed with shortened face-to-face lessons, now known as “blended learning”. This makes it easier to complete the course in parallel with work and allows for personal freedom.

The event also addressed funding for sustainability in associations. EnBW and the BTB award clubs for sustainable commitment.
