Self-protection and self-defense group wins Nussbaum Youth Award 2024

Our Self-Protection and Self-Defense (SuS) group from the Aikido department took part in the Nussbaum Youth Award 2024 with 60 applicants. This competition was initiated by Nussbaum-Verlag and is intended to recognize young people for good ideas and actions for the further development of our society. Solidarity and cooperation are rewarded. The aim is a future worth living with respect for people and the environment. As part of the Forum for Social Cohesion, the 1st prize was presented to our SuS group by Social Affairs Minister Manne Lucha on 12.10.2024. The Nussbaum publishing house recently interviewed our self-protection and self-defense team (SuS) in the Hermann Uebelhör sports hall. In addition to a brief review of the development of our SuS group within the Aikido department and an introduction to our trainers and young up-and-coming trainers, the article reports on our self-defense, communication and de-escalation as well as bullying prevention at schools.
